They will be available between 10 am - 1 pm and 2 pm – 6 pm on March 3rd and 4th and until 5 pm on March 5th for passport and NIC card applications. Are you in high school or university and trying to figure out what profession you really want to pursue? Do you change your mind from time to time? Do you really want to get a snapshot of the different careers from an Islamic perspective? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then this career fair is for you!!

This fair is aimed to provide insight o¬n the career opportunities available for Muslim youth. It also looks at how different career paths tie in strongly to Islamic morals and beliefs and how Islam encourages Muslims to excel in all fields. Moreover, it encourages you to explore the careers of your choice that match your talents, interests, and goals.

Professions that will be covered

We have invited a diverse group of Muslim professionals – men and women – from the following fields: Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Education, English, Media/Journalism, Graphic Design, Medicine, Nursing, Business, Counselling, Computer Science, RCMP, Criminology, and Architecture.

This is an urgent call out to help with delivering emergency supplies to cold weather shelters around the lower mainland. If you can spare some time today (Friday) or early next week and:

1. You have clearance to drive a Red Cross vehicle: i.e. current First Aid training AND driver’s abstract on file or
2. you have a vehicle you could use that has room for supplies (similar to a Red Cross minivan) We will pay travel expenses as long as you record your mileage.
3. You are available during working hours.

If you are interested please send your available day/time to Tasha at tnijjar@redcross.ca as soon as possible! You may forward this information to other persons who may be able to assist CRC.

Many thanks in helping Red Cross help those affected by extreme weather.

This public education seminar will present information on importance of checking the expiry date before leaving Canada or making travel plans, when and how to renew Permanent Resident (PR) Card, where to obtain application kit and assistance in form filling if required, what to do if PR Card expires while you are outside Canada or could not renew before leaving, and questions & answers.
